Beautiful Soul,
Seven years ago, I picked up two mirror doors from the trash and brought them home.
I know.
It sounds slightly bizarre.
But I had a perfectly sensible reason.
I thought the mirrors would make my home look bigger.
More reflection. More visual space. More expansion.
Except, of course, it wasn't really expansion.
It was an illusion of it.
And recently, I threw those mirrors away.
As I watched them leave, I realised something that had very little to do with interior design.
For years, I had been doing something similar with my own life.
I was constantly looking inward.
Looking at my patterns.
My shadows.
My emotional wounds.
My ancestral conditioning.
My spiritual lessons.
What needed healing.
What needed releasing.
What I needed to understand next.
And honestly?
A lot of that work was incredibly valuable.
But there comes a point when you can become so good at looking within that you forget to look outward.
To people.
To nature.
To friendship.
To laughter.
To receiving.
To life.
I've been thinking about this a lot lately.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with shadow work.
I believe deeply in emotional healing, ancestral healing and understanding the energetic patterns that shape us.
But I am also noticing something changing in my Akashic work.
More people are coming to me not simply asking:
"What do I need to heal?"
They're asking:
"What is already within me?"
"What are my gifts?"
"Where have I already experienced mastery?"
"Why does this calling keep pulling me?"
"Can I trust what I'm sensing?"
And I love these questions.
Because your soul story isn't only a story about where you struggled.
It is also a story about where you shined.
Where there was ease.
Where your gifts moved naturally.
Where you experienced joy.
Where you knew something without needing anyone to explain it.
Where you were deeply connected to yourself and the world around you.
That matters too.
And perhaps this is especially relevant for those who identify as starseeds or highly sensitive souls.
Sometimes solitude becomes a very comfortable place.
You may feel different.
You may need more alone time.
You may find certain environments exhausting.
You may prefer your inner world to the noise of the outer one.
And sometimes that retreat is exactly what you need.
But eventually, the question becomes:
Am I choosing solitude because it nourishes me — or because I've become so accustomed to doing everything alone that receiving support feels unfamiliar?
That's a very different question.
I'm learning that I don't want an illusion of expansion anymore.
I want the real thing.
I want sunlight.
People.
Connection.
Support.
Conversation.
Creativity.
More reasons to leave the house.
More reasons to laugh.
More reasons to be surprised by life.
I still love going deep.
I just don't want to live permanently inside the excavation site!😂
Maybe you've done enough digging for now.
Maybe there is something ready to be lived.
A little reflection for you
Where are you constantly looking for the next thing to heal?
And where might you instead explore:
What is already working?
Where do I experience ease?
What brings me joy?
Who makes me feel more alive?
What support am I ready to receive?
You don't have to abandon your inner work.
Perhaps you simply need to give your outer life a little more room too.
